Crocs, Inc.’s First-Ever Global Impact Month

When it comes to supporting comfort for our communities, this means partnering with organizations that help people, especially young people, unlock opportunities to achieve their greatest potential. We know that our employees are passionate about supporting their communities and that we can have a bigger impact when everyone at Crocs, Inc. works together. That is why, in 2024, we hosted our first-ever Global Impact Month!

Our first Global Impact Month, held last October (also known as ‘Croctober’), focused on providing volunteer opportunities for our employees around the world. Our goal was to foster employee engagement and empower our teams to show up for their communities – all in service of building a unified culture of Purpose, together. Our Purpose is to create a more comfortable world for all.

Throughout October, Crocs and HEYDUDE employees came together to celebrate their communities and engage in both virtual and in-person volunteer opportunities with nonprofits. By providing a variety of volunteer opportunities focused on helping young people build the skills they need to confidently step up to their greatest potential, employees were able to create comfort for our communities, as well as meet other Purpose champions in their offices and beyond.

Activating Globally for Local Impact

Overall, more than 750 Crocs, Inc. team members engaged in 20+ events benefiting 17 different organizations and the community members they serve. Here is a snapshot of some of the ways our teams got involved around the globe:

  • In Broomfield, Colorado, Westwood, Massachusetts, and Hoofddorp, the Netherlands, our employees volunteered in-person to build STEM kits, benefitting three local organizations dedicated to uplifting and empowering young people through access to education and other growth opportunities. Depending on local needs, volunteers prepared kits that included science-based materials – all in an effort to spark curiosity and creativity among youth.
  • Each of our distribution centers in Vandalia, Ohio, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Dordrecht, the Netherlands, partnered with local nonprofits to pack over 1,000 backpacks with school supplies. Having the necessary resources is crucial to educational readiness, and these backpacks help provide students with the tools they need to succeed at school and thrive long-term.
  • Volunteers across our Broomfield, Colorado, Westwood, Massachusetts, and Singapore offices also gathered in-person to help build career readiness kits. The readiness kits, which included curated items such as career resource books and mindfulness tools, will help support young people prepare for their career journeys, such as their first job or a job change.
  • Virtually, global teams across Europe, China, Korea, Japan, and the U.S., had the chance to record the stories of their own careers to inspire and motivate youth as they prepare for their own paths ahead. In virtual sessions in Europe and the U.S., folks also created inspirational posters on the importance of education, growth, and development.
  • Our employees engaged with Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) - our latest official strategic nonprofit partner in the U.S. and Canada. (Learn more here!) In October, BBBS mentors and mentees visited select Crocs and HEYDUDE stores to connect with our retail associates, and leadership from BBBS agencies in Colorado and Eastern Massachusetts visited our Crocs, Inc. corporate offices to share more with employees about their local impact.

We are proud of how many of our team members got involved in our inaugural Global Impact Month and hope to step up to even greater levels of impact in 2025.

Achieving our Purpose of creating A More Comfortable World for All takes collaboration from everyone. By building trusted relationships with global nonprofits, using the power of our brands, and volunteering our time, we believe we can help young people step up to their greatest potential.

Global Impact Month also demonstrated an opportunity for us to unite our Community and Inclusivity ambitions, serving our communities while also providing opportunities for our employees to build relationships and feel engaged at work. We will continue to identify opportunities for intersectionality in our Purpose strategy, pursuing initiatives that help drive toward more than one ambition at a time, whenever possible, to maximize positive impact for our stakeholders.
