Inc. (NASDAQ: CROX) today announced that John McCarvel, the
company's chief executive officer and president, was awarded the Stevie
Award for turnaround executive of the year at the 2011 American Business
Awards, which were held on Monday, June 20, 2011. McCarvel was honored
for his role in leading Crocs' turnaround strategy over the past year,
which helped the company return to profitable growth and become one of
the best-performing stocks of 2010.
Stevie Awards were presented in more than 40 categories including
turnaround executive of the year, best overall company of the year, and
best new product of the year. More than 2,800 entries from organizations
of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for
consideration.
McCarvel was named Crocs' CEO and president in February 2010, after
previously serving as the company's chief operating officer and
