NIWOT, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jun. 26, 2012--
Crocs, Inc. today announced that its management team and chief marketing
officer were both awarded silver Stevie Awards at the 10th
Annual American Business Awards on June 18 in New York City. The Crocs
management team was recognized in the management team of the year
category, while Andrew Davison, Crocs’ CMO, was recognized in the
marketing executive of the year category.
“These awards highlight the hard work of our executives and the role
they have played in helping achieve the success Crocs has experienced
over the past 10 years,” said John McCarvel, president and chief
executive officer of Crocs. “The success of our business is owed to our
more than 4,000 global employees, who are led by our accomplished and
passionate executive team. They are truly deserving of this honor and I
am grateful for their continued dedication to the success of the Crocs
brand.”
The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards
program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to
submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit,
large and small.
Andrew Davison received a silver Stevie Award in the marketing executive
of the year category for helping to elevate and evolve Crocs’ marketing
strategy and programs during the past year. Shortly after joining Crocs
in early 2011, Davison championed the development of Crocs in-house
marketing organization. The marketing team developed the innovative
Crocs Inside program highlighting the comfort of the original Crocs clog
style shoe found in all of Crocs’ more than 300 footwear styles.
“Our marketing programs during the past year have provided an
opportunity for our passionate consumers to engage with the Crocs brand
in new and innovative ways, and on behalf of the Crocs Marketing team,
we’re all excited that these efforts have been recognized with a Stevie
Award,” said Davison.
The Crocs executive team was awarded a silver Stevie Award in the
management team of the year category in recognition of the role it has
played in the brand’s global expansion and financial success during the
past year. The strong leadership of the executive team helped the brand
reach the $1 billion revenue mark in late 2011, as well as expand its
corporate social responsibility program and product offerings
More than 3,000 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in
virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a
wide range of Stevie Award categories.
“We’re delighted that the first of our two American Business Awards
banquets honored so many deserving organizations and executives,” said
Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. “It’s
gratifying and inspiring to have received so many remarkable entries for
this year’s competition. We’re looking forward to celebrating other
Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie winners at our new tech awards ceremony
